I’ve finally set up a proper Email List for the neighborhood, with privacy in mind. I found a program called GNU MailMan and it seems to be working well in tests I’ve done.
I’ve emailed the list’s email address to everyone. If any of us send an email to there, it goes to all of us, and gets prefixed [TRV] in your inbox.
I’ve added all of us I had email addresses for as members. If you haven’t given me your email, move in after today, or just think you’re not subscribed, there’s a sign-up page. All signups get manually approved. There will never be spam bots on this list, just actual homeowners/neighbors in TRV. There is also a list of members, and a message archive, viewable only by other members.
If a non-member sends email to the list, it gets moderated, and I can whitelist specific outsiders, like Centennial Management or SAB if that would be useful, without them being actual members so they could broadcast to all of us if we want. (I don’t want them sending unrelated spam to us though.)
If any of you don’t want to be on the list or receive emails like this from other neighbors, no prob. Let me know and I’ll take you off. There’s also an unsubscribe link on each message.
