Annual All Homeowner’s Meeting Wed 2020-12-09

It’s that time of the year again folks.  ALL Timber Ridge Villas LOT OWNERS will be meeting on Wednesday, December 9th 2020, at 6:30pm to discuss annual business and elect board members for the next two years.

This year, for everyone’s favorite reason ending in “ovid”, we will be meeting via Zoom. Please join the meeting before 6:30pm as we will take roll at 6:30 verbally. If you’ve never used Zoom before, consider joining 30 minutes early to fix any technical problems before we begin.

If you cannot attend live, please declare your proxy (the person who will attend in person and vote in your place) ASAP, to Feedback AT TimberRidgeVillas.com (New Email address is via Google Groups.) or to Trish, our Secretary, in writing.

We’ll have a review of our finances and budget. How much money comes in from dues, how much goes out in services, and what level of contingency funds we maintain.

There are no amendments to vote on this year. (Though we’re always open to hear what people want to change if there’s consensus on the matter)

This year, Billy and Mike’s terms are coming up for renewal. Neighbors will vote on who will serve the next two years in those terms. Neighbors may choose two names of residents who want to be on the board, and the two most chosen names will win.

We additionally have TWO HOA Board vacancies to fill in January. If you’re interested in serving on the HOA board, get in touch with an existing board member to ask questions about the role, and announce your interest on Everyone@TimberRidgeVillas.com so the neighbors know about you.

Our boardmember Chris is moving soon, and Denise is retiring from the board as well at the end of the year. Their terms run until the end of 2021, so the board will choose who will serve the remainder of those terms at the next board meeting, which is on the 10th of December. But the all homeowner’s meeting is a good opportunity to announce your interest or ask questions about what’s involved.

Voting will be done by voice in the zoom, and votes written down and tallied on screen.

Last year the city approached us with a potential developer wanting to make a parking lot out of the residential lot to our East. We solicited neighbor feedback and gave it to the city and developer; and that developer never moved forward with their plans in no small part because Timber Ridge residents didn’t want it to go forward.

The All homeowner’s meeting is December 9th at 630pm. And then there will be a board meeting on the 10th at the same time for the board to choose named officer positions and decide on any business brought forth by the residents at the all-homeowner’s meeting that requires investigation to address.

2020 has been a trying year in many ways, but I’ve been happy to call Timber Ridge Villas my home, and to call every one of you my neighbors. I genuinely hope you’ve enjoyed your Thanksgiving holiday, and I hope to see every one of you at our Annual Meeting, via Zoom on Wednesday, December 9th at 6:30pm!
